Racking and Material Handling Solutions Case Study : Chemical

In 2018, we received an enquiry from one of the leading global manufacturer of specialty chemicals and advanced materials with 3 business segments - High Performance Materials, Industrial Specialties and Coating Solutions. The client operates in close to 50 countries. A designer of materials and innovative solutions, they shape materials and create new uses that accelerate customer performance in lightweight and design materials, bio sourced materials, new energies, water management, solutions for electronics and performance and home insulation.

The first enquiry we got from the client was for providing solution for loading/unloading the material from container. After plant walkthrough, we suggested Mobile Dock Leveller to them and also introduced our product range as per their operation like Racking, Diesel Forklift, Scissor Lift Aisle Master & others.

We received the order for MDL mainly due to our proper solution and guidance. In 2019 we again visited them after their enquiry for Mezzanine & Scissor lift .They wanted to optimize their RM warehouse space and hence were planning on installing Mezzanine with scissor lift (2000 Kg Capacity). However, we found that lot of space was consumed due to pillars. Even Goods Lift, would have created certain obstructions in the movement.

Thereafter, we introduced Aisle Master to them. We explained them its benefits and the dual use of the machine both inside the warehouse and outdoor where they were using forklift. We also explained about the increase in pallets positions they would get using this machine. The client was getting almost double pallet positions (Gr+5) as opposed to their current layout using forklift operation (G+3). Principally the client accepted our solution. But they were worried about one point which was the location of their plant. Being in the city, they did not have any scope  for plant expansion. The only option was to go vertical. Also their maximum RM and FG material was lying on the roads inside the factory premises, creating obstructions in movement which 
they wanted to clear.

Once the client’s interest was developed in Aisle Master, they asked us to give solution for their existing as well as new warehouse which they were planning. The Projects team also wanted to give confidence to the higher management specifically from safety point of view in a Chemical plant.

We gave them the DEMO of Aisle Master at one of our other client’s work space at Navi Mumbai. This client had been using the Aisle Master since 2011 for indoor  and outdoor application. This cleared their safety related 
apprehensions.

 Finally the client was confident about the Aisle Master and we started working on Racking for their respective warehouses.

From the initial time of enquiry generation to conversion we were constantly in touch with the client. We developed strong trust and confidence with their team by giving them best of suggestions as per their requirement and practical solutions. They even went out of the way to get the budgets cleared for Aisle Master in 2019 because it was so well appreciated by their management.
